Basic Planting Kit can be crafted using the Worktable after obtaining the recipe from Zeke during The Grass is Greener.

One Basic Planting Kit is required for The Grass is Greener.
Farming[]
Using Basic Planting Kit as a tool in the player's yard unlocks the planting mode that allows the player to sow and grow crops and trees. Once the planting mode is unlocked, the player is no longer required to have the Basic Planting Kit in their inventory and can access the planting mode anytime using the Action Wheel.
The upgraded version of the Basic Planting Kit, the Intermediate Planting Kit, is unlocked later in the main story and allows the player to work with a larger area at once (up to 4x4).
