The fishing spots are specially designated locations where the player can sandfish to complete missions and/or commissions or to use for cooking. Currently there are seven fishing spots available in Sandrock. _[ verify ]

Before the player can sandfish at the fishing spots, they need to have at least a Basic Sandfish Trap in their inventory. Bait can not be used from the shared inventory. _[ verify ]Some fish can be caught without using bait, swimming around the sandfishing spot. As the player begins to fish, they will begin to dive back into the sand and bait will need to be used to spawn fish.

The⁠⁠Wild Yakmel and ⁠⁠Wild Alpha Yakmel nearby will not attack unless provoked, allowing the player to sandfish peacefully. This is the location where the player can see Elsie's ⁠⁠Call Me Elsmael.
Wandering Y Ranch Map location	⁠⁠Sand Carp ⁠⁠Large Sand Carp ⁠⁠Lungfish ⁠⁠Large Lungfish Rarely: ⁠⁠Sandacuda	⁠⁠Sandworm ⁠⁠Bran Bait	None	This spot can be found between a ⁠⁠Rockyenaroll Habitat and the northern cliff of Wandering Y Ranch, near the north bridge out of Sandrock. ⁠⁠Rockyenarolls found near the train tracks are hostile and can be dangerous to a low level player. The sandfishing spot can be reached by walking through the Wandering Y Ranch. During ⁠⁠Clear the Air, a Yakmel Station can be installed nearby.

As part of ⁠⁠Get Con-yak-ted, a Yakmel Station can be installed nearby.
Grand Mesa Map location	⁠⁠Horned Adder ⁠⁠Large Horned Adder ⁠⁠Desert Mudfish ⁠⁠Large Desert Mudfish Rarely: ⁠⁠Sand Snake  [ verify ]	⁠⁠Scorpster ⁠⁠Shellipede	⁠⁠The Goat [ verify ]	A Yakmel Station can be installed near the Mole Cave Abandoned Ruins in The Badlands, with the path north leading to the Grand Mesa. This spot is reached from the Workshop by following a dangerous path adjacent to the Valley of Whispers, potentially encountering ⁠⁠Rockyenaroll, ⁠⁠Plierimp and ⁠⁠Masked Fiend (before ⁠⁠Adventure in the Valley of Whispers) along the way. There are ⁠⁠Tripions near the fishing spot.

A Yakmel Station can be installed on the other side of the bridge. ⁠⁠Desert Hopper and ⁠⁠Backerat can be found nearby, which makes this spot potentially dangerous. The fishing spot may be reached by climbing over the rocks in a straight path from the Yakmel Station nearby, avoiding enemies.
Northern Plateau Map location	⁠⁠Lungfish ⁠⁠Large Lungfish ⁠⁠Crucian Carp ⁠⁠Bullhead ⁠⁠Giant Loach	⁠⁠Bran Bait ⁠⁠Fine Rice Bait	⁠⁠Sandrock Strikes Back	This spot is reached by hitching post near the Moisture Farm and the Moisture Farm Yakmel Station. The Pensky and Thorny Jumper are non hostile. It is one of two spots with the exclusive fish ⁠⁠Crucian Carp, ⁠⁠Bullhead and ⁠⁠Giant Loach.
