Refiner is a crafting station that is used to upgrade the quality of already finished items.

Obtaining

Refiner can be crafted using the Assembly Station. In order to craft the Refiner, the player needs to obtain its diagram by giving 8 Data Discs to Qi at the Research Center, then waiting for 3 days before obtaining its blueprint in the mail.

Usage

Refiner is mainly used for increasing the quality of processed materials and crafted items. It can also be donated.

Crafting station

Refiner uses gems to upgrade the quality of finished products. Crafted items come in one of the three qualities: green (Outstanding), blue (Perfect), purple (Rare). Most items can be refined to purple rarity, and only equipment can be refined at purple quality to increase its stats. An item's quality affects how much Gols it sells for and how many relationship points it gives when gifted. Some commissions also require items of a certain quality to be fulfilled.

For furniture, crafting stations, and equipment, increasing an item's quality also increases the attribute bonuses it grants and the affixes it has. The items of Rare (purple) quality can be refined to increase their level and the stats and reroll the affixes they have, often at a lower material cost.

Refiner does not require fuel. All items are refined instantly. The gems used for refining depend on the item.

Only items listed in the tables below can be refined. The materials listed in Quality up column are required to increase the quality of green and blue items, the materials in Level up column are used to increase the level and stats of purple items or, for items that get no level increases, to reroll their affixes.

Refined materials, assembled items, and furniture cannot be refined at purple quality.
